University of the Arts London, formerly the London Institute, is in a unique position to champion art, design and communications in further and higher education and their myriad contributions internationally. University of the Arts London is a federal institution incorporating six of the world's most celebrated colleges of art, design and communications: Camberwell College of Arts, Central Saint Martins College of Art and Design, Chelsea College of Art, London College of Fashion, London College of Communication and Wimbledon College of Art. The University of the Arts London was established in 1986 to promote and enhance the strengths and distinctive character of those Colleges. The University of the Arts offers courses to more than 24,000 students extending from Access and first Diploma through to BA, MA and PhD with excellent teaching quality.
